Solutions built for tariff relief and security
HIP combines additive manufacturing, U.S.-jurisdiction electronics assembly, and calibration & quality control to qualify products for new country-of-origin under CBP’s substantial transformation standard.
Rapid prototyping and production
Plastic, foam, and select metal components supporting on-demand production and rapid iteration. Our additive capability accelerates design cycles and anchors transformation activities in U.S. Virgin Islands jurisdiction.
Secure integration in U.S. jurisdiction
Electronics assembly and firmware installation are performed in the USVI, eliminating the risk of overseas firmware backdoors. Processes use U.S.-authored software and documented controls.
Proven substantial transformation
Advanced testing, tuning, and calibration that change product performance characteristics—activities that are central to CBP’s substantial transformation analysis. HIP structures and documents these steps for compliance.
0% Section 301 tariffs upon U.S. entry
When transformation steps are performed in the USVI and recognized by CBP, the country of origin shifts to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Goods re-exported to the U.S. mainland may then enter tariff-free under Section 301.
